What Size Japan Home Jersey Should You Take?

FIT & SIZING

There is no single right size for a Japan jersey, only the drape you want. This section lays out what actually decides it.

FABRIC

Lay it flat and measure without stretching the fabric.

LAYERING

Wearing a tee underneath? Allow room for it in the size.

LENGTH

Compare body length as well as chest. Both decide how it sits.

Getting the Size Right
HOW TO MEASURE
Lay the jersey flat, measure seam to seam across the chest, do not stretch the fabric, and round to the nearest whole number.
ADULT AND YOUTH
These are separate scales. Do not convert an adult size into a junior one. Check the chart for the band this listing uses.
WOMEN'S AND MEN'S
The cuts are shaped differently through the waist. Check the audience label on the version you select rather than carrying a size across.
Adult and Youth at a Glance
KIDS AND INFANT
Age bands drive these. Height decides the band as much as chest does.
YOUTH
A separate scale rather than a shrunk adult size. Measure height as well as chest.
How do I measure at home?

Lay a jersey you already wear flat, measure seam to seam across the chest, and compare that figure with the chart. Do not stretch the fabric while you measure.

Should I size up?

Only if you want it loose. Take your usual size for a normal fit, or step up one if you plan to layer a tee underneath.

Will it shrink?

Cold wash and a low tumble keeps the shape. Hot water and a hot dryer are what distort the fabric, not the cut.

Measure once, order once. The chart is the shortest route.
